FakeTP.com at some point will have a file managment script that will make many functions normally done through FTP or telnet accomplishable through a web interface. Well, there have been a lot of distractions. Instead, we have:
- Poster--a perl script that allows web-based tool for a web site to update and archive its news postings.
- BlindMail--a perl script that allows you to send e-mail messages through a browser without the normal constraints of an e-mail client (pick text or html format and no account setup required for sending mail).
- FeedMe--a perl script that gives you a quick and easy mailform for feedback and that was designed with security in mind.
- Countalog--a perl script to count pageviews and optionally log information about visitors.
- Still_Counting--a ASP tool that tracks visits in a SQL Server 7 database and allows custom queries of results.
- SafeMail--a javascript function to protect your email address from spammers.
We also have a recommendation: do not host your site with Interland. Interland is a disaster of a company when it comes to customer service. Initially, I supposed my poor experience with them was out of the ordinary. Nope. Stroll through InterlandWoes (formerly it's own dot-com) to hear it from dozens of customers. Also, they refuse to upgrade their technology on customer servers. For example, this site ran on an Interland machine with versions of PHP, Perl, and MySQL that were each at least 5 years old, amazingly. Pretty sad.
