Guestbook

Here's a PHP/MySQL guestbook that I took great pains to make easy to set up. It even creates the password protected directories for you to administer it from if you don't know how to do that yourself. And if you don't know how to create tables? No problem: so long as you have the credentials and a login to a database within MySQL, the script can create that too. Guestbook postings may optionally require administrator approval before being posted, admins can be sent notification emails of new posts, when you have many posts, the results are paged across several screens, etc.

Nov. 21, 2006--One user reported a problem with the paging control of the guestbook. When he clicked to go to a secondary page of postings, he continued to see only the first page of posts. The fix is to open gbook-includes.php and add this line:

if ($HTTP_GET_VARS["resultpage"]) {$resultpage = $HTTP_GET_VARS["resultpage"];}
